“I very much liked Astral Cloud Ashes"

We are very much grateful for the mention of our band by BBC 6 music’s Tom Robinson. Acknowledgement by the British punk-rock/new-wave singer-songwriter bassist and music industry tastemaker is humbling. Thanks Tom!

    Alt Rock tastemaker Steve Lamacq

Astral Cloud Ashes was very grateful to have featured on BBC DJ Steve Lamacq's 6music show on Wednesday [27th April]. Steve closed his mid week show with "Too Close to the Noise Floor" and it was an honor to have alternative music recognised by him on what some call "the UK's most influential indie radio show".

Biog:

Formed in January 2016 and based on the Island of Jersey (in the Channel Islands), the music of Astral Cloud Ashes is written, recorded, and produced by Antony Walker. Jason Neil occasionally features on the recordings on backing vocals. When performed live, the band currently manifests as a 3 piece band with Antony Walker on Guitar/Vocals Sean Durham Waite on Bass/Vocals and Matt Booth on Drums. Astral Cloud Ashes sees itself more as a musical project than your average band. Alternate tunings are a main interest and inspiration for the songs and atypical time signatures are sometimes used.

Astral Cloud Ashes is music written with another dimension in mind. "Feeding algorithmic alt-rock chaos back through the square peg hole of the 20th century Popular music formula is the name of the game."
